I have had a passion for drawing since aged 9 after having my art selected for a local gallery in Hong Kong. Having enjoyed art at school I continued to study art up to A level and took it further by completing a foundation in Art and Design at the London College of Fashion. I also hold a degree in Fashion and Textiles from the University of the West of England and a PGCE in Design and Technology from the same university. In addition to this I hold Master of Arts (Merit) from Southampton Solent University. I have 18 years experience drawing subjects from fashion to animals and landscapes. Having worked in both the fashion industry designing prints for textiles and undertaking painting commissions, this has enriched my repertoire of design. Most recently I have illustrated a Children’s book, The thing About Grownups… And Other Strange Beings’.
I have previously exhibited my textiles abroad in both New York and Paris at Indigo Textile Trade Show. My paintings have been exhibited and sold at various locations on the Isle of Wight including The Wolverton Manor Fair, Open Arts and the Chale Show. My work is currently on display all of June 2019 at the Newport Minster. Supporting my love of art, I combine this with teaching art to beginners and intermediate artists.
